Introduction

Krypton Chemicals UK have developed an innovation -almost “hydrophilic - “BBA Polyurea Membrane for Roof Waterproofing which can be applied to a WET- Concrete, Bitumen, Mastic Asphalt or Single Ply PVC Roof Deck. In the UK and Western Europe waterproofing of Roofs is constantly stopped because there is a Rain Shower almost every second day. After a Rain Shower it can take up to 4 hours to dry the Roof before the waterproofing process can continue.
This new innovation will solve the problem of Waterproofing in Winter and speed up the
productivity of Roof Waterproofing every Month.

WET FUSION PROCESS
The Application involves the use of a unique Nylon Geo Textile which has been treated with a High Frequency Discharge ( Corona ) which then increases the adhesion of the Surface. This unique Geo Textile is then either fixed adhesively to a dry roof surface, or it can be Mechanically fixed to a Wet Roof Surface.
If the Geo is fixed to a dry roof -then it does not matter if it rains later the Roof can still be Waterproofed with the special “ hydrophilic” polyurea.
If the existing Roof Deck is WET -then the unique Geo textile can me Mechanically Fixed with the correct Screws and Plates to cover all possible Wind Uplift Problems-even in High Rise Buildings.
After fixing the special Geo Textile the Roof can be waterproofed with 2kg per sqm of Pure Rayston Polyurea Hot Spray which cures in less than 5 minutes and is fully Certified by the BBA with a 25 Year Life Expectancy

HOW TO REMOVE EXCESS WATER

Krypton Chemicals have partnered with Klober UK and Germany to devise a number of unique solutions to remove any excess water from the roof .

Roof Drying Vent - Moisture / water that has been trapped under the Polyurea Waterproofing can be removed easily through a Klober Vent using a Water Suction Device ( Vacuum ).This is a quick and easy economical way of drying out a wet roof. Klober have 3 x sizes of Vent Diameters – 70, 100 and 125
UPSTAND VENTILATION
Moisture / Water Vapour that has been trapped under the Polyurea Waterproofing can be easily removed through a Klober Upstand Termination Vent
